Question about Harleys...

Ok, a guy i work with has an 08 Sportster 1200 and he's looking to put pipes on it. Harley is telling him that they have to "modify" the computer in order for it to run right. Is this true or is it possible to do it with out the computer "modifications"? I just know that with my SV (I know, it's a BIG difference) that I didn't need to do it and it wouldn't make that big of a difference if I put a PC3 on it. Any help from you Harley riders would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jonathan

First, a pc would make you a big difference on your bike (especially if you had a custom map done). Second, I don't know squat about Harleys.

The funny thing about leaking oil is that he's got less than a 100 miles on it and it was already leaking! He took it in and found out that someone didn't tighten the drain plug when they put it together for delivery. I guess they were just trying to live up to that good ol' harley reputation!

THE NEW HD , FUEL INJECTED AND ALL, ANYWAY IT LIKE SPORT BIKES THEY WILL DO BETTER IF REMAPED, BUT NO IT WILL RUN, ALSO YOU CAN GET POWER COMANDERS FOR HARLYS AS WELL.
