Who here has a Moto Q?

I lost / someone took my i-phone today.

I'll be replacing it tomorrow, but after the whole "we don't offer theft / loss insurance for i-phone b/s", I sure won't be replacing it with another one.

Besides the no insurance deal, I really wasn't overly happy / impressed with the i-phone anyways.:/:

I've been doing some research this evening, and the top 2 candidates are the Moto Q and the Blackjack II.

Any thoughts / recommendations?

I looked at that, but was concerned about it's durability.

Seriously, are you in contract with AT&T?

Ive had AT&T wof ra work phone before, Ive got a verizon work phone now, I hate em both. Service sucks, I dont get dropped calls often, but its the cutting in and out that me off.

Ive never gotten a dropped call with tmobile and my tmobile phones ALWAYS (with the exception of being in some wal marts) get GREAT reception.

I have been with AT&T for 8 years and I can not think of a time when I have had a dropped call! And my Blackberry picks up the net just about everywhere and it is pretty fast!

But, then again Tim works for AT&T so I get special treatment!

I bought my phone from helio with the SAR levels in mind. Laugh all you guys want, I value my brain.

You won't find this on mainstream news: http://www.informationweek.com/news/...leID=206504325

My friend (Patrick, you know John) has an iPhone, and the one thing he is unsatisfied with was the EDGE network. I would def get EVDO or better. 3G technology ftw.

What is your opinion of Helio? I plan to switch to them in June to get rid of my ridiculously expensive Verizon plan. I'd like to get the Ocean.

Well the all-in plans are great. Though Helio was the first company to offer something like that, many companies are starting to offer these types of unlimited-unlimited plans.

I like the fact that Helio uses 3G technology, and the coverage is just as good as Veriozon. Since Helio is a "virtual company" they don't own their own towers, so you don't need to worry about coverage. I've never had a dropped call, never had phone issues (Samsung A509 "Drift") and I rarely have problems with data usage.

I pay 74/mo after taxes for 450 mins and unlimited everything else. Good deal IMO, but I find myself not using everything else now that I'm working OT to pay my bills.....

You won't be disappointed with their service, and the devices they get exclusively from Samsung are always "hi-tech" but relatively cheaply made. I would invest in a case or something.

/end thread jack
