The Lone Star Hiking Trail runs from from Richards to Cleveland and passes through Huntsville State Park. If you ride the Forest, slow down and look for the signs where the trail crosses 149. Try the Lone Star Hiking Club and the Houston Chapter of the Sierra Club. They both run programs for noobys.

We should start mountain biking! Not backpacking.

I'm down for either mountain biking or backpacking. I have a really nice mountain bike that I'd have to drag out and get back in commission. When I think of backpacking though I think of hills, etc. Not SHNF or Hunts. State Park...flat as .

if someone wants to get something going i'm game. I would rather somewhere scenic and hilly not a swampy forest. i still need to know though what are some noob backpacks and shoes to get. I don't think i should go hiking in these airjordans. :/:
