How often do you lose your license plates...and why?

You can avoid the camera taking a picture of you by riding the white line, it's not a wives tale. I've followed Moto Cops through many times. I even followed four of them at one time. The Moto Cops always ride the white line and that's the only reason I ever new it worked. I first followed a group of them through when I was in my car. There were no flashing red light because they never get picked up by the sensor as coming through. If the sensor doesn't know they're coming through then it doesn't know to take a picture. That's why the Cops ride the center line.

The cops don't have to pay.
Do some research, I have seen actual photos that show what the cams see. You can't get by.
If it was that easy they would fix it wouldn't they?

"The cameras take a shot of the whole area. You can't get by without being in the shot.
The whole thing about ridin the line or huggin the wall is an old wives tale. Wheelieing is not an option either because that is now a felony."

Does the camera take a shot of every vehicle that passes thru? Isn't there some sort of sensor that has to be tripped? Just curious. Are all wheelies felonies, or just doing them while going thru the toll booth? Again, just curious I have no intention of attempting any wheelies.

One other question, do you get kickbacks from the toll revenue? J/k

I don't know if the cams take a shot of every vehicle or just when the lack of ez tag triggers it.
I think the penalty for wheelies is up to cops description and the judge. Little wheelie on back road maybe not, 100mph standup on crowded freeway maybe so.
No I am a greasemonkey on a flying bus I have no toll connections.

When you approach the toll gate a sensor detects metal coming through, then your easy tag sends a signal to the transponder over head. It then charges your account. If the sensor senses metal coming through and you don't send a signal to the transponder it then takes a picture (you can see the flash). If you ride the white line on a motorcycle the metal of your bike doesn't get picked up. If it did then when a car came through close to the white line then the car would get picked up by both lane sensors and the easy tag would respond to the one the car is in and not the other lane and that would go on all day long.

So riding the white line means you don't get picked up as going through. Just like at a traffic light if you don't go over the right area on the road the light will never change.

4x in 3 months.

just falls off. A whole saddlebag fell off in downtown Auston once (mounting bolt fell out) and the bag itself stayed on but popped open once and my clothes started flying out. My hat (used to tuck it up under the windscreen) went for a ride a few times. Right hand mirror went (bounced off my leg first) on Hwy 6.

I just have a knack for stuff falling off. Bolts and screws go missing all the time. It's a big v-twin that gets ridden partially offroad, so it's just bound to happen. I started to Loctite everything - but then found out you're not supposed to use it when the housing is plastic. It makes the thing start cracking in all directions. :/:

Regardless of whether the camera takes a pic of me or not I have run the line plenty of times and haven't seen $HIT for it. When running the all lane booths that you can't avoid, I usually cover my plate I realize the consequences for my actions but until I get caught for it, I will continue to get away with it To each his own

The money you DIDN'T spend on tolls, would be savings.

i dont know how many times i've run the toll booths... probably well over 200.

hctra has terrible customer service, so i don't feel any remorse. they ran out of moto tags and "dont know" when they'll be getting more. til then, i wont pay

but for the record, don't run the toll booths, mmkkay? don't want my little secret out in the public!

just for the record...the red light is up above you on the big booths now so unless you are watching it the whole time (which would be too smart not watchin were your goin) you wont see it flash...also the toll booth camera dont flash like the traffic light camera, there is enough light coming from the lights at the booth

Sure about that? Up until a few years ago, you could beat it at speeds over 105. They bumped it up now, but I believe anything over 140 and you should be good.

ugh, I know there is, at some point, a speed which you can't be seen.

But if you are riding 100mph+ through a toll area, the least of your worries is a toll fine.
