They won't send a bill until three toll violations occur, then they tack on the surcharge/fine with it.

I've gotten plenty of them - every time I lose a license plate, replace it, and forget to call and give them the new plate #. They're good about putting just the toll charges on my account and scrapping the fine.

The cameras take a shot of the whole area. You can't get by without being in the shot.
The whole thing about ridin the line or huggin the wall is an old wives tale. Wheelieing is not an option either because that is now a felony.

All that said you prolly will not get anything from the toll people for a 1st offense. If you do it aint no big deal just handle it and go on.

Another option is from the toll road website:

What happens if I run through the EZ TAG lane by accident and don't have an EZ TAG but want to pay for the toll?
If you call or visit one of our EZ TAG store locations a customer service representative may assist you with this payment.

We appreciate your follow-up on the run through. To clear up the unpaid toll, you can come in to any one of our EZ TAG store locations with your license plate number or call customer service at (281) 875-EASY (3279). The customer service representative will pull up the photo of your car and be able to accept that payment to clear it up. We suggesting waiting at least 2-3 days before calling as it may take that long for the violation to load into the system.

It's possible that they'll eventually flush you out of the system - maybe if x amount of time passes and you don't get another or something. I've only seen notices that had three on each.

The fine is $15 or $30 + the cost of the toll itself. No record goes on your driving record, since there's no proof who was at the helm.

Is there a lien on the bike? If so, the notice goes to the finance company first - then the finance company will stuff an envelope with a cover letter and send it to you. That would cause an additional delay.

I would NOT recommend trying to ride the line, wheelieing, or otherwise avoiding the toll charge. If you don't want to pony up the $1.25, then stay on the feeder kids. The tolway isn't your only option, so if you choose to ride it you pay to ride it.

Wow, that's a great idea.

Hmm let's see 50 times at $1.25 each is...

You saved $62.50 but if you get caught I feel sure it will be MUCH more.
