ya i think now you have to pay tax on the value of the bike, not the price you paid.

Yeah, my firm had to assist a bunch of folks that tried that ... they wrote down that they bought cars for like a $1 and the IRS wasn't having any of that ... they made them put down the fair market value of the vehicle as income to them... a lot of people think they can get around not paying taxes, but end up getting screwed in the end...
