thread jack, but I recently read somewhere about a laser (green I think it was) that was powerful enough to pop balloons and sting human skin. [I]t was the size of a regular laser pointer and cost about $200. That would be fun.

heheh, I know which one you're talking about. They have incredible range too, how weird would it look to see a bike at night with little green lines extending from it for miles?

I guess most people haven't seen green lasers, but you can see the beam in broad daylight. Don't know about on a foggy night, but just darkness makes it really stand out.
