Dzus fastners.

I need some Dzus 1/4 turn fastners for my Sharkshins. Does anyone in town stock them?

Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited has em.

most bike shops that work with race bikes should have them in stock. if you don't know how to measure them out and drill accordingly, i would not suggest doing it yourself. it's not that difficult, but having a bunch of unneeded holes on the bodywork sucks. take your time and it'll come out nice.

Motorcycles Unlimited is out of stock right now. Checked yesterday. Don't know when they will be in. I need them for this weekend.

I don't have to drill any holes. I'm just replacing lost or worn pieces.

EBay FTW! I also have a number from a guy that sells them on Ebay and they're cheap, he's in NW Houston area or Katy area.

PM me for the number if you want them. He has them in some different colors too like black.

Installing Dzus is incredibly easy. I'd suggest getting the clip on type female Dzus instead of the rivet type if you're new to them.

Your Sharkskinz should have a dimple or even be marked for pre-drilling.

Nowhere this weekend. I plan to get the bike all fixed up and ready for the next available track day. I'm gonna be a bachelor this weekend so I will have plenty of time to chase parts, get greasy, bang up my knuckles, etc.

If you find a solution to get you through the week, then you still need them, the best deal I have found is eBay seller "KurveyGirl." She sells sets of 6 for $18.

Martel Brothers Racing in Katy may have them in stock. (281) 391-7772

One of the Competition Sales locations may have some as well - I think there are still 2 locations in town - 1 off long point and 1 off 45.

Are you referring to the seller "Desmo-porsche" on ebay? He's the only seller who has Houston listed as the item location.

I've bought Dzus from both him and kurveygirl. But since Desmo seemed to be located locally, I once tried emailing him to pick up the items in person instead of having him ship it out. He never replied to my email. *shrug*

I appreciate all the offers and advice. Once again Motorcycles Unlimited has come thru for the win. Patrick called me today to say that he received a shipment and has the fastners in stock. He also committed to getting the other parts that I need by Saturday. Motorcycles Unlimited has the best people and best service in town.

Yes, Bobby is Desmo-porsche and he always has plenty on hand.

I've got contact with him if anyone needs.

Good on Patrick for coming through in the pinch!
