Ever get jealous of them "Ninjabikes" at the track?

Well, it's that time again for LSTD to have a "cruiser only" group at a track day! On Saturday, May 10, at Texas World Speedway, Lone Star Track Days is having a "Cruisers Only" group! That means that you'll ride all day in your own group! Instruction will be available for those that want it, and it's a guarantee that you'll learn things about your bike you thought you never would, as well as learning the capabilities of it in a "safe" environment!

TWS (Texas World Speedway) is a big, wide track, with a huge NASCAR banked front straight, where you'll get to open that big twin up and see what she'll do with no PO PO around to stop you!

Sign up at www.LSTD.com. When you do, sign up for the May 10th event, in the "c" group. Leather rental will be available from www.trackleather.com. Full leathers are not required, but our basic "c" group safety gear requirements are. Denim jeans may be acceptable, safety gear will be evaluated prior to the event (email steve@lstd.com for prior approvals).

Here is a virtual lap of the track:

http://www.lstd.com/video/promo-broadband.wmv

Of course that's some sportbike footage, but it'll show you what the track looks like!

Pass this along to all your friends with cruisers. I've got all my buds from work all excited about it now!

None of the track blazers you own Sir!

Seriously, bikes like any Harley, Goldwings (sport tourers are OK), but mainly bikes like the Suzuki VLX, Honda Shadow, Honda Rebel, Kawasaki Vulcan... etc.

Yeah, it was a type-o, it was supposed to be "Ninjabike", like the generic term people use to describe a sport bike or racer replica. It's a tongue in cheek term.

Dude, you can ride in the "B" group that day, your pace is juuuust fine for that group (you normally ride in the "B" group anyway, don't you?). Your bikes don't fit the mold of cruiser though!

Sunday will go back to the original format of "A, B, C (noob)" groups.

I've got about 5 guys from work lined up right now, chompin' at the bit and claiming to beat my best lap times (which since I'm slow enough is probably possible...).

i HAVE to get in on this.

the only problem is that i can't keep bugging my wife to let me get a track bike because you can't ride track on a cruiser...

hmm... i'd have to do some wiring though, my kill switch isn't on my handlebars...

Email steve@lstd.com and ask him about that- it may be OK with a cruiser since many of them have the key as the "kill" and they're under the tank/ seat.

NoFear- uh, no, Busa's are not a "go" You're welcome to have the 'Busa out on the Sunday May 11 track day in the "C/ noob" group, or if the 'Busa is that good (as I keep hearing on here... ) then you should sign up for the "A" group!

alright, i'll do that. i've currently got my kill swith and starter switch both mounted on the right side by my knee, right next to the key. if necessary i could mod the switch as a dead-man swith pretty easily, just have to strap the thing to my leg...
