Cornerworkers needed 3-21 Cresson

As the title says, if you ever wanted to ride one of the best tracks in Texas (my personal favorite), this is your chance.

The licensed racers will be practicing on the 1.7 mile track, street peeps and "noobs" will be on the 1.3.

Elevation changes that are like a roller coaster in some spots, pavement is in incredible shape and smooooth as glass. Your tires will look like they've been sanded with 400 grit by the end of the first session. The 1.3 is a great addition to the Cresson layout!

During the day, you can cornerwork for credit, either work a full day or ride half, work half. If you work a full day, it will earn you a credit to use at any event for 2008, including when we go back to Cresson for a non-race weekend when we'll be on the 3.1 mile track. If you have an SO that is so inclined, and you're daft enough, you may have someone work for you all day while you ride Works out great for the rider! If your SO is a hot chick, then she'll be well taken care of by our courteous staff!

The date is Friday the 21st. We go up on Thursday typically, it's about a 3.5 hour drive from Houston.

Camping is allowed at the track for Thursday, but gates will close at 10pm (race weekend). Additionally, it costs $$ to get in the night before (CMRA entry fees) and the day of, which is non-refundable. It's usually $10-$15, if you choose to stick around and watch the first round of the CMRA Endurance series on Saturday, and CMRA Sprints on Saturday, the entry fee you pay will work all weekend.

Interested parties should email tom@lstd.com and include contact information.

Email address

date(s) you'd like to work

Thanks MH, see you at Grand Sport Speedway on the 17th too!

Ooo....Oooo.....Oooo.......dayum. Deciding wether or not I should work this.....

I mean, that's the weekend of the races, and I was going up there with tim and crew to support them in the pits and watch, but it could also be a nice view to cornerwork......

I've never been to that track. What are the good spots to be at?

In a corner? Depends on the direction and what you want to see. Big bend is always fun/fast and not a whole lot going on there normally. My favs are Tombstone and Ricochet. But really it's all good for working.

Yeah. It's just that I wanted to be in a good spot if I was to cornerwork, as opposed to the pits if I was helping out Tim and the Bi-polar team. Plus, I got a special lady friend that's wanting to come out with me to see how the track racers do it.....

Lots of action in those corners. We're running CW (my favoritest direction there). Del, if you guys come up Thursday night and are there for the track day, I'll try to get you hooked up in a corner. I could also throw you out to the "new" section and you'll see what an elevation change is! Blind corners and tight decreasing radius turns = big fun.

Shoot me an email if you're wanting to work. Remember though, this is for the track day on Friday, not the races on Saturday/ Sunday.

If you're there and don't want to cornerwork, there's a lot of great places to watch from too.

Trust me, this track is fun, and fun to watch folks too (more fun to ride...).

SO we would only have to work on friday for cornerworking, then I can still roam the pits/ help out with the Bi-polar team on sat and sun?

Also, I believe rocky (pyscho1000) is going as well.....

Completely if not a bit over full now (got some safeties built in there...)

Thanks to the MH'Ride Smart that are making the trip just to work the event for future credit!

Being a CMRA race weekend, you'll see some of the fastest folks in the South carvin' up the Cresson Texas paved motor sports landscape!

See you all out there on that weekend, but see you all before that on the 17th at GSS to tune up for the races the next weekend fo sho!
