Shoei RF-1000 CF-1V Spectra shield

My new helmet is a Shoei RF-1000 and I also purchased the mirror shield to go with it. The shield itself seems to be thinner than the clear shield that came with the helmet. Whenever I close the mirror shield the right side (side without the little lip) doesn't close all the way down. I have to manually push the shield from the top right to make it close all the way. The shield fits fine and installed perfectly.

Does anyone else have any experience with this type of shield for this helmet? Does yours do this also?

Oops... The shield is a CX-1V, both the stock and the mirror shield that I bought are CX-1V.

Also make sure your screws that hold the shield are tight (but do not over tighten )

From Shoei

Screws are good and tight I have not touched them - other clear shield works fine but it looks to be slightly thicker than the mirror shield.

It is a CX-1V Spectra Mirror shield.

I have a X-11 and had a RF1000 with multiple shields on both. I never encountered anything like you mention. I did only buy Shoei lenses for both helmets, and actually still use one from the rf on the x.
Hope this helps.

Alright, thanks I think it might need a slight adjustment.

gotta be an adjustment you need.. I've had the RF-900 and RF-1000 with clear and tinted or mirrored shields and never had that problem.. I know if you dont have it in correct it will have a problem closing.
