1. Your wrong, it is the law to have mirrors on all Texas vehicles. Everyone here appears to 'know' cops or 'have' cop friends, so i think either
a. your cop friends and/or acquaintances are not traffic cops and should know better to giving you crappy advice..... or
b. your friends are ignorant and should never have passed out of the academy if they don't know.... or
Read the material before making assumptions and/or qouting your friends statements as law or fact....
Texas Vehicle Code - Read under Section 1, Subsection G
Texas DMV - Read under EQUIPMENT

2. You stated an opinion, your opinion is fine and we thank you for it, but it doesn't make it safer to not have mirrors... Also, any 'real bike shop' should know better to pass you on inspection if you don't have the minimum requirments....

3. To the thread starter, the bike is clean and you not wanting the mirrors is your choice, whatever the benefits and detriments, you will live with it.... but don't justify not having it by saying it makes for safer riding, that just is not true.....

You need atleast one, not sure on the side you need if(or if it matters). I too think that bikes look a LOT cleaner without mirrors. Buttt, I have a very good friend of mine that was rear-ended on a highway and came near close to losing his life. He didn't have mirrors and I can't help but question that if he did maybe he would have seen the car coming...

That said, your bike looks tight. You should put it in the running for April Bike of the Month (inside joke, hope you get it)

The mohawk gives it a nice personal touch too, something that sets it off as the everyday CBR, and makes it your own. Don't listen to the haters. Thanks for the good thoughts on my friend, he can sure use them.
