i'm not going to take someone elses bike to a track i have never been to.

if everyone thinks he is so good, they can talk him into coming to msrh on a sunday and they can gamble on him there.

we have both ridden it, and even there, he has more time on that track than me.

look at the topic of thread, it is not about BC and Unassail. That being said Unassail should go to the next cmra race and podium finish cuz he is clearly faster than Jody and the rest of the field

1 best lap of 1:55 is still worse than someone riding consistent 1:56's (just an example). if clayton can run a consistent 1:55 on his next trackday, then he's probably accomplished more than it took me or others multiple trackdays. cuz even now, it's hard to keep all my laps consistent, i go from 1:40's (no, not low 40's) to 1:50's and never solid times.

being fast is also about being consistent. how much good does running a 1:48 do for you, if most of your other laps are 1:55's.

with all that being said, clayton's got some skills....honing and applying the skills correctly is another story

my other lap times on that session were 2 56s and 3 57s then the lap that was messed up because of entering the track.

don't get me wrong - clayton is doing good... but you youngns need to learn a little humility... and respect for others that have more experience...

like you - you think clayton is wicked fast... well... to you... maybe he is... but hang around the track a little more than one track day foo... you might see that there are some faster cats out there... bigc being one of them...

that's what i'm talkin about...
well, maybe i will go out there and prove i'm not consistent, maybe i'll pull a 1:48 and crash the next lap. maybe i wont get intot he 40's and i'll be "Jody's " for a month. and i know there are faster guys out there, i dont doubt that at all. but i know where i stand now, and i know how much i can improve in given seat time.

like i said before, when it comes to bikes, everyone has a different learning curve. and mine is pretty far from the average person.
