Killer looking bike bro...you did much better with that then a gay 250.....Don't listen to all the up-tightness that goes on around here.....You rode at your pace and within your skill level...you made it back fine. Don't let all the noob nazis scare you from riding... Be smart, be alert and respect the bike...you will gain experience very quickly and will soon feel like you have been riding forever.

FYI, Corbin seats are the most horrible seats invented....I have rode on many(when i used to work for dealers and worked on customer's rides). They suck, they are hard as a freakin rock. Your stock seat will be 10x better, especially if you nut up close to the tank all the time....

Make sure you stay on top of your maintenance every week: tire psi, oil level, chain adjustment and lube.

dude...congrats on the bike, but

slow it down, get some health insurance and tell your parents for chissakes.

absolutely brilliant idea to ride home from denton for your first ride. It is a small wonder something didn't happen. Take your time, take it slow, and dont tempt fate.

Turning wasn't that hard, but I understand what people mean by slow riding is a lot more difficult than fast riding. Also experienced the "counter turning" for the first time. I didn't really experience that in the MSF, I dont think I was at the proper speed to notice it.

Well my mom knows, she actually helped me gather the last bit of money I needed. My dad on the other had doesn't. I was talking to the mother and she will do her magic with him for a while until she can convince him. Hopefully if everything goes through, I can bring the bike home instead of leaving it at a friends place. I'm probably going to tell him I just recently bought after he gave the OK when the convincing happens.

It's a lot of thick hard dust buildup.. It was washed off when I reached houston.
