So, I finally got a bike

Before you read on, I'm a noob (as most of you know) that made a noob move ( flame me if you like )

I finally got my bike but, it's not the Ninja 250 that I've been waiting on. Instead, (heres the noob part) I got a 2003 Ninja 636. Many of you will think its a bad first bike, and VERY few will say I'll be fine as long as I "respect" the bike. Hopefully I'll be fine.

Heres the story: I took a Grey Hound down to Denton, Texas to see the bike. I saw it and everything was as described. My noob move: I was going to ride the bike back to Houston from Denton. A friend of mine who lives in Dallas was planning on coming down to Houston that day. He picked me up from Dallas and drove me down to Denton. He came with me to buy the bike and also took some pictures as well. I wanted to follow him back to Houston; it made me feel more comfortable. The 300 mile trip back to Houston took 7 1/2 hours to get back because of the frequent stops (6 stops in all). A big portion of the 6 stops had to do with that area between my and my hole getting sore (there is a Corbin seat on the bike which is extra stiff, mostly because Im all bone with no fat). Putting the stock seat on later. Thankfully I made it back alive

Before I left, I called progressive and got an insurance policy so i could drive back legally. I have my M Class also if anyone was wondering (this is an edit )

Here are the pictures my Dallas buddy took

None at the moment..... :-(

Freakin awesome mang......

Now get out there and start loggin some seat time.....

This is in fact if you have your liscense....?

p.s. Just remember to respect your bike and riding abilities.

My first bike was a 600, so it doesnt really mean anything. Just ride safely and at a pace you are comfortable with. The confidence will come with time my friend.....

Oh and I do think a 7.5 hour trip from Denton to Houston as your very first street ride was verrrry dumb....but you're here so what can I say! Also, I hope you called and insured it on the spot so you didn't make that long-(first ever) trip uninsured.

Edit: Noticed your edit and very very smart move

You would have grown out of the 250 very quickly... (It took me about 2 months) but I will be the first to say - Respect the bike. Ride at your level and don't try to "KEEP UP" with anyone who's been riding for years. We've lost too many good guys out there in the past couple of months, don't want to add your name to the list.
