Raceday!!

I don't know... but with the way qualifying played out, I have a feeling this could be a super low scoring round.

I can't decide who I want to put on the podium. I think it could be any of the top 8 - 10 guys. I'm going to kick myself if my original picks hit. lol

FYI: All picks get locked in at 2:55. 5 minutes before race time.

D'oh! Sorry. It's a complete re-write, so there are still a few bugs to work out.

Obviously a HYOOGE bug in the scoring system too.

Compare: individual race scores with the final standings. lol

Ok.. just realized that wasn't a bug, but a stupid error on my part. I set the lock time to 1:55

PROTEST!! Recount!!! How does scoring work anyhow? Is it actual rider points vs. place picks? Handicapped by pick/results? Say my first place pick gets third....how does that score?

Don't worry, I'm going to add 2 more scoring rounds that will be much easier to get points. This current one will be considered 'PRO', the other 2 will be 'EXP'ert and 'NOV'ice. where you'll get some points for being 'close'.

They were wrong because I had a bug (actually 2 bugs) in the scoring code. If you saw the two links before I fixed it, the round 1 scores did not match the season standings. After 1 round, they should be identical. hehe.. Oops. That was 1 bug. But #2 was that not all of the scores were being processed. There were quite a few with 25 points, a first place result guessed correctly and it didn't check the rest of their picks. Oops. Also fixed.

Round 1 and season standings now match.. w00t

Round 1: http://motomunky.com/fantasy/races/3/
Standings: http://motomunky.com/fantasy/standings/

Round 2 is setup and ready to go, but won't be unlocked until the week of, or the Friday of the race unless I come up with an easy way to add wildcard entries and replacement riders ya'lls picklists after the fact, but with enough time for you to make changes to your list. I wish they were announced sooner.

Under the current system, you get '0'. That's why it's so difficult. It has to be exact, but you get full points. As I was mentioning in the other post, you will get half credit for being off by one, and 1/4 or a single point for being off by 2. Those would be the expert and novice scoring systems.

Unless you think it should all be incorporated into 1 scoring system. ?

Lucky ... who's that guy on 1st place

Thanks ArturoC for having this motogp fantasy... easier and less crowed than the ones I've played before

Question, I can't see my picks after the race? Is it doable or too much trouble?
What language are u using to code?

It's easily doable. I'll try to get that done this weekend, or at least for the next round.

Mainly Python with a bit of javascript for the ajax drag n drop sorting.
