sorry, that was wrong. i wouldnt be joking if he were worse off. the injuries do sound horrible, but considering he got rear-ended off an over pass and fell 50', dude is lucky to be alive. he must have someone looking out for him

major props to the guy who pulled him off to safety. i know in houston 99% of people might be courteous enough to change lanes and thats about it.

i wish him a speedy recovery!

Wow, that sucks. Guy who hit him was probably drunk?! If it was in an HOV and another guy was riding in front of him, did he see anything suspicious?

Best wishes for the recovery. Poor guy.

Keith,

Do you know if he has anybody sitting with him? I read that his parents are gone, so all I can imagine is that he's up there all alone and my mommy instincts kick in... I feel just awful for him.

What does he like to snack on? I'm going to make a Sam's run tonight, hopefully, and bring him a goody basket tomorrow. Does he like video games; books; cards; magazines? ... Let us know what he likes!

His mom and brother have been there most of the time since he got checked in. Last night his grandmother and grandfather also showed up to stay with him. I'm not sure on what we can bring him right now, they are pretty strict about keeping it a clean environment where he is. Once they move him I think me and Aaron are taking his PS3 up there(if they let us) and hooking it up to the hospital TV. You have my cell Brandy, if you have any questions I would be glad to ask his family for you.

Sorry to hear it. Hopefully with all the traffic cams up these days, it's only a matter of time before they find the who hit him. Speedy recovery Ian.

OK first off. the speed limt was 15mph, the car hit him at 60mph. i noticed he was not behind me RIGHT AWAY. so i stopped waited a sec then, turned around and went back up the ramp to find his bike in pieces. i started screaming his name, but there was only one place he could be. ii didnt want to look over the edge, and when i did i saw this guy pull him to the shoulder. i screamed "call the police, call sombody!!!" i got on my bike and took off down there to were he was. when i got there he was completly calm. "did you see that car hit me" he said. i didnt see anything just that he wasnt behind me anymore. when he landed on 59 a car swerved from hitting him but ran over his leg-(s). i honestly didnt expect to see him alive. his gear saved his life. he was wearing a helmet, knuckled gloves, and a padded jacket.

Thanks for clarifying.

I'll update everybody once Ian is out of surgery and I hear from his brother.
