A week ago I would have agreed with you completely, but it is looking like this quad adrenaline is the chit.

+1 /close thread

While i applaud the developmental technology of hybrids, in practice they are subsidized, overpriced, pos's.

We could get much better results using existing, simple, technology.

A couple things people dont consider

it costs more and is harder on the environment to make and dispose of a hybrid vehicle. Maintenance costs are high, and problems abound. Who here would want to own a 10 year old hybrid?

Lightweight, long lasting, efficient turbodiesels are a much better solution.

a 1990 ford festiva (gas) will get 40+mpg and is much easier to build, maintain, and dispose of than a hybrid. Nearly 20 years later toyota wants props for building a hybrid prius that really isn't any better, just more complicated

i kinda like the gs450h, but cant justify the 1mpg mileage increase over the gs350. The price diff. Between the 2 is pretty significant

the batteries for these things are terrible for the environment, actually the building of them is destryoing and making the area around the factories in rural japan completely un-inhabitable....for miles.....

, there you have it.....

so saving gas money by spending $10,000 more on a hybrid is not an excuse...and now, spending $10,000 more to help polution and save the trees is no longer an excuse!

hybrids are killin the pockets, and killin the ozone.
