The Mobile 1 scored very high in the study I was quoting from. Better than the RP.

i'm not sure i would trust that amsoil test. the did the test and thier product did the best. how do we know it was off the shelf, commercial stuff and not something special? i would trust a third party but not someone that could have a conflict of interest

Yes, I understand that. The last thing I said was that I was aware that Amsoil did the test. But I don't think they were just picking on Royal Purple. I am a Royal Purple fan, but the fact is, that this test showed that RP came in pretty bad on 2 or 3 of the tests.

I just picked up some Mobile 1 as the Amsoil seems to be hard to find here in Humble and the only Max Cycle I can find is 20-50. We'll see if I get the "better shift" results. If so - I'll be happy. Mobile 1 came in second - so even the Amsoil people say it's pretty good.

PR is wet clutch compatible, i used the reg car formula in my gix. could def feel it was smoother.

Def thinking about putting some in my 'new' bike.

not when a lot or all of your riding is on the track.

I'm changing my oil ASAP from Royal Purple to something else. My clutch does NOT like RP whatsoever.

The Mobil 1 really improved my shifts and shifting from Neutral to 1st is much softer. I'm really happy with it!

No bad clutch issues.

It's readily available at Walmart,O'reilly's, etc AND you can't beat the price.
I think of it as the secret motorcycle oil that no ones really knows about.
Good stuff
