Uh, you either believe in fate or you don't. there's really no two-way street on this. I defy you to put an explanation of how that could possibly work.
Truth is, I defy you to explain how everything that exists now or has ever existed was fated as such. it's pretty much a romantic myth that makes people feel safe in an unsafe world.
I agree with cherub.
if I thought I was fated to die EXACTLY at a time and place, I'd be smoking crack, shooting at people, banging prozzy's, robbing banks and generally wreaking havoc on earth. and why not? if you're fated to die of old age why waste youth on college, sports, religeon or responsibility?

That is not fate. That is vaticination (the ability to predict and or reveal the future.) Fate is unknown and unpredictable . You will never know when you are fated to die. but you can however vaticinate your own death if you have that ability. I dont think the fear of death will keep you from all those wonderful activities you listed. This is more of a moral issue.

Take all this for what its worth. All of these are just opinions.
