Yet again... Liberal Media puts Troops at Risk

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories...MPLATE=DEFAULT

LONDON Prince Harry has been serving on the front line in Afghanistan with the British Army, the Ministry of Defense said Thursday.

Officials said the prince, a lieutenant in the Blues and Royals regiment, was still deployed in the country.

"His conduct on operations in Afghanistan has been exemplary," said the head of the army. Gen. Richard Dannatt. "He has been fully involved in operations and has run the same risks as everyone else in his battle group."

Harry, who is third in line to the throne, has been in Afghanistan since December. The story was leaked by an Australian magazine and a German newspaper.

Dannatt said he was "very disappointed" that the story had leaked.

Harry, 23, has been fighting in the restive Helmand province, where most of the 7,800 British troops in Afghanistan are based.

Last year military chiefs ruled Harry could not be sent to Iraq with his regiment because publicity surrounding his deployment could put him and his unit at risk.

A good story is much more important than a security risk!

Sounds like Harry is doing the right thing, and some dillhole just fukked it up.

Why not? He's volunteering his service to his Country, no different than those who serve Ours'. And it's not just about him. Let the word spread that he's over there, and I'm sure the Enemy will get a hard-on to take that "prize", along with his fellow troops.

That was real bad, but at least he man'd up, admitted how stupid a mistake he made, and apologized.

Well, 1 it could be a dis-information spin to get the other side to possibly show themselves and 2 the statements about moviestars and media folks (which some media folks are in with the platoons, etc.) is BS and I am calling it. We are fighting a war that is not one we should be putting any lives on the line for so why the would a free person volunteer to take some bullets for it?

And just why shouldn't we be fighting this war? Do you need to be schooled on UN Resolutions?

Maybe cuz it is called serving your country? I would take bullets for this war. The US just like many other countries have made poor decisions, but it is still our brothers, fathers, sons and friends over there fighting. It is part of what makes this country greater than the others. Right or wrong, there is a war, and it is still about doing what you can for your country. Be thankful that there are those people you called "murders" are out there taking care of buisness so you don't have to.

I think it should be mandatory that presidential candidates serve in the military in order to run for office.

I think it should be mandatory to serve in the armed forces to be a citizen of the US
