Testing waters #2 - skydiving

i was wondering if anyone would like to have a get together and go skydiving (when it cools off a little) i have been a few times and actually went this morning. i was thinking sometime in october, maybe even november. i say around then 1) so it has a chance to cool off a little and 2) its enough notice for those to work it into their schedule that want to do this. i will put up more info if this looks like a "hot topic" and get a few interested people

Re: Testing waters #2 - skydiving

i was actually thinkin skydive houston, near waller...what we will most likely have to do if this gets goin is have two or three in a month for those on each side of town (i.e. one weekend on NW side, another on SE side etc) i know of 2 jump areas but i am sure there are more. like i said once this gets busier (if it does) we will work it all out, part of the reason i started this now rather than a week or two before

i will never sky dive... i hate planes.. i hate hights...

i use to fly in a UH-57 Blackhawk helicopter... and that was fine.. but if you put me on a plane I freak out... LITERALLY!!!

I have flown probably 150+ times... and I can't do it.. I'm a white knuckler

Re: Testing waters #2 - skydiving

ok since this looks like a good idea...when is a good time to do this, late october or sometime in november? don't really want to do it to much later than that because it will get chilly at 13,500 feet. (every 1k ft temp drops 2 degrees, i think i got that right) they are open mon-friday...tues and wednesday are reserved for large groups only (i.e. motohouston) im up for just about any day of the week...as for the 12th person free, look at it this way 24 is 2 free, etc. and we got 550 members so thats 45 free jumps (not including video) lets get this goin and get a date figured out so people can get it in their schedule...also they have bbq pits on site (if i remember correctly) so we can make this an all day event.

ps - for those that don't want to jump but want to go to a "meet" (not an official meet yet) there is a golf course next door. there is also a pool but it will most likely be too cold by then lol
