i would say either. Both are great shops. Both have great reputations. Both will work with you to get your bike set up right for you, but Patrick has better trackside support. The Motorcycles Unlimited trailor is likely to be at many of the trackdays and will be able to work with you at the track as well!

When doing the suspension on my gsxr I went with Motorcycles Unlimited. They did a great job, as they allways do, and support was second to none. I can def recommend them.

I do not have any experience with Andy @ Metric.
However, I do have a very poor experience with Motorcycles Unlimited and Race Tech. This was a few years back and they were not Race Tech certified at the time.

Metric doesn't setup the Geometry on the bike. Take them the forks and they'll rebuild them.
Motorcycles Unlimited does complete Geometry setup and sets your sag and dampening settings. And rebuilds forks and shocks with Ohlins, Traxxion, Penske, or Racetec.
Motorcycles Unlimited also has been racing for years. Brandon there is one of the top CMRA experts racers.

I had some stuff done at Metric and I wasnt to happy with what I got. So I came back again and tryed once again, the same thing happend this time it was like riding a bull. I couldnt fig out why everybody else was going around the track and when they came in to the pits they wasnt worn out like me. When I was riding my first suspension I could feel it was kicking my all over the place, over working my body. So finally I got so off in the morning of a track day I just packed up and went stright to Motorcycles Unlimited to see Patrick & Brandon. I had them rework my front (Race Tech) and I went ahead and had Brandon order me a Ohlins rear. They called me up told me everything was ready, had me come in and then they setup my geometry to my hight, size and weight.

Now when I ride I feel so much better, its like night and day with the work done by Motorcycles Unlimited and crew. If anything after I got my stuff done with Patrick & Brandon my times got faster because of my smooth suspension letting me hit the bumps while soaking them up. Not buckin me off or kicking my like before.

Cliff notes:
(Race tech) installed wrong 2 times, plus no Geometry help.
Went to Motorcycles Unlimited Patrick and Brandon got to work on my (Race Techs & Ohlins)
Got my suspension/geometry setup done first time around @ Motorcycles Unlimited
Patrick/Brandon + RaceTech/Ohlins = Great place to get your suspension worked on hands down no questions asked!!!

does the racetec setup typically lengthen forks?
im hoping to restore a good baseline geometry to work with.
