i can see you jumped in the wrong train. i got nothing to do with being radical

i just dont brake my head about other ppl thinking different, or criticizing anything

i pray my way and i live my life my way, i dont see anything wrong with that

of course i follow rulling and i let everyone live their life, is not being radical is just letting everyone be what they want

and if they interpret the bible the wrong way, well is their problem

i just wanna be a happy christian and be out of everyone's way

and by any means argue about this subject,, is a never end story

people use what they see fit to fit there lifestyles and their own opinions, instead of taking the whole and correct teaching of the books set forth from time

to make the bible a basis for our country is to undo what the founding fathers' wanted and why we left england in the first place. our laws are already weird enough as it is, we don't need the rule of, say, deuteronomy 13 to make it worse, or say the whole "do not wear a blend of fabric" rule. enough, you can't take a document that old and try and follow it by the letter, it's a path to destruction of society.
how about we read the bible and learn it's lessons, but rule by common sense and rational thought? rule by your mind, not by fear.
I believe you are 100% incorrect. The fundamental laws of this country WERE based on the fundamental laws of the bible.

However, our forefathers had the wisdom to ensure religion and state remained separated. They did this, because history shows us when your mix the two it's bad news. You do NOT want ANY religious party to have control of the government. Because when you do, you have that religious party (non religious party for those atheists) in control of government they start pushing THEIR RELIGION, THEIR VIEWS down your throat. One only has to take a look at the Middle East to see this in action in todays world

I completely understood what YOU meant by the previous statement, and by no means do I think you are a looney guy trying to intrepret the bible in the wrong manner. does not punish those who legitimetley (sp) do not understand the bible, but to understand it and intrepret it to your life style is where the problem is.. To take bits and pieces of what someone may see fit, for example: It is wrong to murder, but it's okay to steal.
Deuteronomy 5:17 Thou shalt not kill. 18: Neither shalt thou commit adultery.
19: Neither shalt thou steal.

and i understan your point but, what you miss understood was i dont take pieces of the bible

i just dont brake my head with the whole picture, i live only once,

and i dont think the bible will fix all my problems,

the bible, the way is supose to be, is great, dont take me wrong

and in no way i criticize anyone here or there,

now your are correct about taking pieces as my convenience

i know it sounds like that but is not what i mean. what i mean is i abide by the rules, but i wont let anything rule my life

i am still be me, regardless of what a book says, and i have my own conciousness to direct me to the right pat

i hope i explained my self because i have had a wekk of lol

you are a smart girl crystal, i will never say otherwise, and i like your debates, but we all are different, that is what makes us human

even diferent opinions, have a good one

No silly, I didn't mean you. I meant others, how they try to live with certain parts of the bible but not the bible as a whole..

the bible was written by man . it was written in the day to instill fear and a set of guildlines to live life by.i do not think it was inspired by but more by his followers to gain control over the public.

and this country was based on christian beliefs and i believe our leader should still have the beliefs im not religious(by far) but the beliefs as a whole are good guidlines to live life by.

To go a little further it was sanctioned by Lord Constantine of the Roman Empire in 400AD. (or CE for the science types) It had nothing to do with his presumed immediate followers (unless they where living several centuries back then) but, everything to do with the growing number of followers of the Christian faith in Rome's empire.
