Although I like the blacked out look of the V-Rod I am not a real big fan of HD in general. I am happy with my 109 and glad I decided to stick with a Zook.

HD in sugarland have this huge aution this past weekend and they had this bike selling for $14k....swear to good, i almost added it to the garage. I didnt ask must about price but i think that was more like the starting bid. the bike was complete custom. Very comfortable and sporty at the same time. Check out peg locatation. its sounded nasty as well. I give it a 10.

nothing can outperform a sportbike. Lightness, agile, braking, suspension, acceleration, did I mention that it cost less than the M109?

Must have been a 60mph in six gear rolled on.

This is my opinion on cruiser, if you want to cruise by all means get one. If speed is your thing, don't get one. On a cruiser, it sits up right but not everyone can keep up the posture when they ride, they slouch after awhile. When they want to go fast, they duck down and they complain about the position of a sport bike. cruiser are heavy and brakes aren't as good as sportbike in case a car pulled out in front of you. Corner is a lot slower, can't filter through traffic because of their handle bars. Wearing gear is dorky on a cruiser. Did I leave out anything else? On a positive side, you get don't get pulled over as often as sportbike. You can't catch that evading arrest because you are hauling at 160mph. On a cruiser, you are not associated as a young punk.

Night rod special would be my choice.

I ride with a friend who rides v-rod.
Nice bike.
Fast and handles pretty well for a cruiser.

i don't think it's been mentioned, but if you do work on your own bikes, consider that you have to pull the engine on a vrod to remove the valve covers...

i think that's about the only factory harley i'd buy, but i love the power cruiser segment of the market. m109, vrod and warrior are all at the top of my list of bikes i'd love to have but probably never will. i guess that partially explains why i ended up with the hyo gv650... i talked with a state trooper who worked w/ the bike theft division (which doesn't mean much i guess) who thought my bike was a vrod when he saw it from the side...

when i rented a bike from the HD dealership in AZ they said that they were selling way more v-rods to chicks than to dudes.

they said the chicks come in and say "that bikes pretty, i want that one"
