Buy a warrior instead, same genre of bike "muscle" cruiser
but significantly cheaper, will be more reliable, out handle and out perform the V-rod....and look better
The only other Cruiser I would buy would be the Victory Hammer.....
but I don't think I could ever bring myself to pay 19-22K for one

Definately sexy for a Harley, but if I were going to buy an HD(which I won't, I love cruisers but I would def. go metric) it would be this one:

I like the Suzuki M109, they cost less and have more power and better handling

One of the guys at work went from an '05 R1 to the Suzuki M109... he LOVES it! In 6th gear roll-ons, he and I are about even, to give you an idea of the power...

That Yami posted ^ is pretty sweet, too!

The Harley does look cool, but thats about as far as it goes. I'd definately go metric...

I went back and forth between the night rod special and the warrior, cost was the deciding factor, along with availablty. go to a Vrod forum and rswarrior.com, ask both which to get, the rod guys will talk about the warrior. the warrior guys with tell you go with what you want, and will talk straighter with you about the pros and cons of both.

also go to both sites and see which one of them is having problems the most, hands down its the rod.

If there would have been one avaliable, they were hard to get in early 07, and dealers jacked the price above MSRP and the price was not so high I would have got one over the warrior. I love the low look of it. I love my warrior also.

I could take a blacked out Victory also, nice, but too much.

I like 'em, dont really care for the rake, but they are zippy quick and the new ones look a lot better with their factory pipes, they used to have huge assed cannons and I always thought they looked goofy.
There is a turbo kit and other goodies for em too.
here is the forum to learn about them. I'm on there as TurboRoadster

V-rod is the only harley I care for. And I see everyone talking about price. I find them all the time for 9-12k with under 5k miles on them. Just keep your eye open on craigslist, they aren't all that expensive compared to the other harleys.
