Recommend Some Gauntlets

Im insearch of some gauntlets for the track day in march and I was wonder what you guys think would be best. I got kinda big hands.. XL in A*'s. Dont want anything in red or blue seeing as my suit is black and white. and dont want chrome on my knuckles like ive seen on some gloves.

I just picked up the A* GP Techs and love them so far. Kind of a to put on, but I take that as a good thing. Retail is $249+tax, and I walked out the door with the for $174.

I was told by a local vendor they don't make the GP Pro's anymore. That's what I originally went in to get. . . and since I couldn't, I went with the best model they make.

Larry Meyers and Racer's Supply sell some great gauntlet style gloves for under 70.00. I run them myself and love the fit and feel. Don't have all the bulk in the palms, but provide excellent protection. Larry runs them and that boy crashes like a feind in race day. Good stuff, and a great price with support after the sale shoud things go amiss. That is what I'd buy again. Oh and lots of colors, includiing Black with at white knuckle protector. You can PM me if you need his contact info, or he always has them at the track. Helmets and leathers too!!

Teknic Speedstar Gloves. I like them better than the Held gloves I have owned.

Alpinestars do still make the GP Pros (at least for 2008). The GP Techs are the ones that seem to have been discontinued.

GP Pros crash well.

Held Galaxy's crash very well.

The problem I've sometimes heard with Helds is that you can have two diff. pairs in the same size, yet each pair may fit a bit different (one finger is longer than the other, etc.). So try before you buy.

Oh wow, good budget. I think at this point you should probably go check some out at the shop. See what you like about the different brands.
