Hey, what about me? I have placed 3rd overall for two years in TMGP. Introduced Mr. Carbon and Mr. Comfy to the sport. Where is the love?

You can help in the pits- you'll have to have a license and definitely have to have leathers/ gear to race.

Helping out on race weekends can actually be pretty fun.

Come on out to the races this weekend. It's a bit of a drive to Henderson (about 3 hours from Houston, about 2.5 hours from Humble), but you will have fun!

Track day Friday, racing Saturday and Sunday.

You can get your racing license at any LSTD event. Getting your license will allow you to race with any other org if you wanted (like TMGP).

Getting your other stuff in order is a bigger priority- like getting good gear.

Incidentally, I have my old leathers I think I'm going to get rid of. Obviously, they're for the bigger folks... and have been repaired a few times... but are a great set of leathers and would be perfect for racing minis.

Here's a pic of me while wearing them:

GSXRbike

It's all I have right now.

They are 64 Euro, 54 US. I've got butimus maximus and am about 6'1.5", they fit me perfectly with a bit of room in the gut, they also have great armor that hs saved my more than a few times...

In the state they're in right now, I'd let them go for $150. They'll cost about $50 to repair (couple of seams to re-sew). There is a shop near Patrick that does these repairs, as well as Marcello's in the Galleria. I use a seamstress near me in Rosenberg that does great work (but always shakes her head and asks what my Mother thinks about me doing this every time I see her ).
