Endurance Bike needs help.... SO does the team

Ok. Nothing like waiting till the last possible minute but….

I have 2 problems.

I have been fiddling around with my bike over the past few weeks and can’t get the thing to run. AT ALL (Aprilia Ride Smart 50.) I have changed the fuel and the spark plug… which is normally does the trick. That did not fix it this time. When I try to push start it, I get some response. It acts like it is going to turn over and run but it just won’t. When I stop pushing it seems as if the bike backfires a little. I can smell fuel but…. Nothing.

I am going to break the motor down tomorrow. I am hoping that I am just overlooking a common problem. I really don’t want to do all that work.

IF…. I can get the bike to run, I would love to run the endurance at Oak hill Saturday. It is a four hour race and I can’t do it by myself.

This brings me to my second problem: NO TEAM

I am not looking to run every endurance race this season, but I would like to run most of them. , for that matter, I wouldn’t mind even hitting some TMPG races this year as well.

Qualifications:

1. Must believe that Mini racing is FUN.
2. Someone who likes to drink beer (after the race of course)
3. Someone who is not sure if they can make every race of the season.
4. It would be good if you weigh over 225 lbs. The name of the team is 3X Racing (cause fatter is faster). Not that we would change the name, but…..See, if you only weigh 120lbs then your lap times are so much faster than the rest of your teammates. That just causes animosity.
5. While I am being so picky, I might as well ask for everything. If you can repair two stroke motors, YOU are on the team.

, for that matter, if you just want to be a “Crew Chief” cause you just love to work on motorcycles I have a place for you.
If you want to just work on the bike between races because you don’t want to race, I will plaster your name all over the bike, as advertisement. (Can’t hurt to throw that out there)

I am sure (without even asking) Tom, who is always willing to jump on the prilla, will run when he can. That means he is on the team by default. I will NEED at least (2) two if not (3) three more people.

Seriously:
MALE OR FEMALE DOES NOT MATTER.
EXPERIENCE DOES NOT MATTER.

If you are interested, let me know. If not this race, than for the remainder of the season.

Thanks,

Jerrel

CMRA requires that you have a Racing Liscense. You can get you liscense through attending an LSTD trackday and doing the liscensing course.

It is also recommended that you have several trackdays under your belt before you attempt to get a liscense.

Cliff,
If he gets us both, we may meet the weight requirement

Please let me know if you would like some help getting the bike running. I have 2-smoke experience, and LOVE to tinker. I have tools and a lift.
