One thing I always find humerous about these post is why everybody cares about what cagers think. Who cares what cagers think? Them suckers try to kill us on a daily basis so what they get held up a few minutes in traffic. They don't hold us up they lay us up for long periods of time.

And you don't think bikers have any say in this stuff? And you think a cager is going to raise the price of insurance because they got held up a a few minutes in traffic because of a free stunt show? come on.

Agreed. But I really doubt you would hear in the Texas senate something like, Senator Joe Blow from Houston takes the floor and says,

"Senators, I vote we raise the insurance on motorcycle riders because the little annoying bastards held me up 59 while I was on my way to get a haircut for some wheelie show. Lets gig'em senators... Us fat cagers must unite against these little two wheel parasites. "

They wouldnt used those exact words, but, if enough cagers lobbied for it, yes, it would AND WILL come to pass.

Let's say a insurance agent is in one of the cagers. You really think he is going to be able to get insurance rasied on bikes because a couple of yocals are doing wheelies on the freeway. come on me what is there to think about. The little stunt show did nothing.

hmmmm

OK, back in say 98-2000 was the "good times" for street racing in houston...

HOWEVER, beacuse of so many new idiots acting like morons and a bunch of media attention, it caused the people of houston to put pressure on the local goverments to weed us out and put an edn to it once and for all.....

now, present day... yes people still street race....but its NO WHERE NEAR like it used to be and it sucks.

CAUSE: idiot kids and dumbasses(not the majority) making us ALL look bad
EFFECT: locals getting angry, screaming at the mayor/police to do something

OUTCOME: the scene sucks now.

so lets say ins. agent see's , and gets . he goes to work, dude calls up, i need ins for my GSXR/R/ZX bike..........ins. guy thinks to himself, hmm.......thats one of those idiot sport bikers, he's bound to crash, so lets just raise the price.

enough of them see it and it becomes an industry wide trend.

If stunts like this occurred when I have a business meeting to get to, or if it delayed me from seeing my daughter during my visitation time, I woulda been . If it was during not so important times, I wouldn't really care.

They delay everyone, whether they have important things to get to, or not.

What do you mean it sux now? Are you talking about the street racing? Personally I always thought that street racing(as far as dangerous for the general public) made doing wheelies on the freeway look like a cake walk.

yes, dangerous AND against the law.

however, we were always on a closed off street and sometime even had cops come out to watch(and make sure nothing bad happend)

NOT ONCE was there an accident(while I was around)

The point is, this is how it happens.
