Which Bank?

Okay, I am thinking about switching banks. Currently I have a checking and a savings account with Woodforest. I live in Huntsville though and the closest Woodforest to me is in Willis. I have been considering switching for quite a while and yesterday I finally cracked my debit card so I figured I might as well make the switch now. I am wondering what banks ya'll would recommend and why? What makes one better than another? The things I really need in a bank: I love being able to check my account Online and transfer $$ b/t my checking and savings for free with a few clicks, I also have overdraft protection with Woodforest(if I draw too much out of my checking they automatically take it out of my savings). How much trouble is it to switch banks? I am a college student so I'm not moving a whole lotta dough.

I think they charge you to use it. Plus I don't like the idea of having to change banks AGAIN after I graduate. There are a few things the school banking does that I don't really like but I will definitely check them out

I just read up on American Bank and it said something about $25 towards my checks if I bring in my unused checks and debit card from my current bank. Sounds nice.

Which reminds me..I wonder if any offer a special plan for Students(that would actually benefit me).

How do you go about transferring money from one bank to another? Do they take care of that for you when you sign on to a new bank and cancel the old or do you have to carry all your cash to the new bank?

Thanks for all your help. I plan to stop by a few(the ones I like after reading each of their sites) then pick one from there. I have another question, hopefully I won't seem ignorant.

If I invest say $3,000 into a one or two month CD how much could I expect to profit? I remember them being mentioned in high school but I really don't know much of anything about them :/: When reading some of the bank's sites they say they offer them b/t $500 & $500,000 from 1 month-2 years.
