dude, we all know it sucks, we all can't make the right choices in life. Sorry about the bike, but the 1k reward is more than enough and you best be keeping the family car.
its already in bunches of pieces anyhow, get some sleep and move on mentally about it. gas the car up, its the new mode of transportation it seems.

cops cant do anything unless they stumble across it in an investigation. I had mine stolen from apts too. Father in law is a segaent in Pasadena. I asked him what they were doing and he said nada thing. Why was theft ins. so much?Call State Farm next time. I hate to say it, but peeps need to reevaulate their ins. needs. After is gets wrecked or stolen you feel real bad with out f.c. ins. I had it on my 00 zx6r even though it was crazy $$$ at 20 y.o. It payed off when I was got. The bike was 3 month old and I payed cash, so I was not required to have full coverage. I sure was glad I did though.

I have 2 civics and a bmw. I pay sooooo much in insurance for all of the cars to be covered out the plus my record isn't the cleanist. or wasn't. they all just came off a few months ago before I turned 25. Its one thing at a time. Im not about me losing the money. after all its only paper with ink on it. and it will come and go. That was a risk I knew I was taking and I accept that. I have been working on making my risk safer and safer one step at a time. and I signed a lease with a garage over a month ago and have been waiting to move in. I just couldn't be safe enough in time. and thats my bad. I just want it or the theif found. I'm willing to pay to get this guy out of jail when he is found. so I can get ahold of him myself. or produce whats left of the bike so I can rebuild my toy.

oh yea, I usually put the wheel lock on it. but i know I forgot the last time I rode it. I'm 95% of the time good about that wheel lock too. 5% bit me in the .

I feel for your loss. My town home's premises camera caught a brief glimpse of two big black dudes grabbing my bike, looks like they had a truck, a recurring theme here in Houston. Read the previous posts about stolen bikes - the description of the perps from those who were lucky enough to get video or witnesses is almost always the same, meaning it's so common that finding THE thieves of your bike are nill, ergo, the odds of them finding the bike in one piece are vastly against you. I hope you have theft insurance. Please note that you can also (with certain restrictions) write this off your 2008 taxes as a theft and causality loss. Include the value of all your modifications. The bike itself will be written off at market appraisal value at the time of the theft. Just get a police report.

Sorry man, hope you can recover quickly.

Nope, that's a different one. His looked pretty much the same, but he had a standard Micron pipe, not the high-mount. It was also all red instead of fading to black.

http://www.houston-imports.com/forum...d.php?t=429803

You mean that one?

I was thinking it was the same, but the high-mount pipe, milage, and yamaha logo's on the gas tank are different.

Thought I'd post the link anyways since the pictures dirtyrice411 posted were from a while back...
