I rode one, thought aobut buying one as a starter track bike, but the thing is too underpowered, tops at like 72. Not for the street IMHO. Handles well, but takes quite a while to get up to speed. Couldn't feel a powerband..

The Aprilia RS50 is an excellent bike! I know quite a few folks who rode one on the streets for their first bike. I'd stay off the freeway with it, but it's great for any other kind of commuting. Squanto is wrong about the top speed though, it'll probably see 60-65, but not 70 unless it's geared really tall!

We race one in the CMRA mini series in endurance. Bike handles like nobody's business! Great brakes, light weight, and a chassis built for racing (you can crank this thing waaaaay over! I had to replace my toe sliders after one race!).

Definitely fun to ride, if you've found one, I highly recommend it if you have the means.

I almost forgot, AF1 makes a TON of performance parts for this bike that will make it scream!
