Like Tony said, it's extremely rare, but stuntin' puts unusual loads on your parts and equipment that the bike wasn't designed for- so it obviously can happen.

This happens on the 03-04 636 a lot, they sell inserts now. 05+ models do not do this. You really have to abuse the bike though for this to happen... Repeated stoppies did this guy's bike in. This is a repost and the whole story behind it and work arounds to fix it are on StuntLife.com
