at the convenience store 1 block away they stole their power wire for its copper while they were open and doing business. It happened at about 830 pm. They thought that it was just a power outage. Dont know how much the theives got for the stolen wire, but it cost the store owners thousands of dollars...

those same thieves come by and steal from my shop at night (scrap rotors, hoods, fenders, doors, etc.)....and are probably the same people that come ask for scrap metal during business hours.

we installed surveillance cameras after we noticed old scrap parts started coming up missing...and guess who we caught stealing stuff at night...the same fcker asking for scrap metal during the day time. asswipe

Since catalytic converters have platinum and palladium in them, I bet the thieves are makin some good money although Im sure it takes some time to get this stuff out of there. Wonder how much a convertor has in it anyways. .
Average Platinum price : $1700.00 ounce
Average Palladium price: $400.00 ounce

oh yeah catalytic converters were worth lots of money even before copper prices went through the roof. Steel and aluminum are getting difficult too!

my dad has a commercial building he leases out up in CT and between tenants the whole place got stripped. All the wiring, even the boiler! On top of that some fukkers went in and trashed the place.
