This is like saying if an airplane crashes into my house it was a least partially my fault because I chose to live there. How far will you take this logic? If some stupid kid swerving in and out of traffic would have clipped his front wheel I'd bet you would blame the stupid kid. But because a PD did it so he could write a freaken ticket you make it the riders fault (or partially). That logic just doesn't fly. When comes to taking other peoples lives into account the PD's have a bigger responsibility than anyone else. He made a stupid choice just to catch a speeder.

Heads up. HPD will ram a speeding motorcycle in order to end the pursuit. And they'll do it at high speeds

This is quite disgusting. I hope this incident gets enough attention and spurs changes in all PD's policy nationwide.

According to my attorney handling my case, this policy is likely going to be changed this year. There are some high-profile incidents in the national media that has called a lot of attention to department policy on high-speed chases. Personally, after my indecent I feel that we should return to 1920's paddy wagons and billy clubs. For one it would keep the PD in much better shape than the pack of fatties slothing in cars now and the whole tazer thing wouldn't be an issue.
