you dont have to compete to do mma. its just easier to find sparring partners in mma over a single more focused discipline.

I am a mother of two and a grandma to boot, I have been married for 27 years and sometimes I would really like to hit something so if your not afraid I will hurt you I will spar with ya Kidding aside...not that I was, but I have a kickbox work out video and I used to go out to a park and find just the right size tree and beat the ever livin chit out of it No worries of getting hit back yet you have the resistance you need for landing the shots and building muscle, wrap hands and wear good shoes a beat a tree

kickbox workout video, started watching it and probably just like you would be if you walked in on your mom doing that my kids laughed and pointed and made fun so I just started soaking it in while nobody was home as I am certain that it was a riot to watch, anywho as you say I started going to the park to walk and tone up when i lost my balance runnig into a tree hence the very first tree asswhoopin' it felt good so i kept going back to the same tree and that tree is scared to this day and I am not.

keep in mind I am every bit of 4'9" and 130 lbs. LOL poor tree never knew what hit him.

you can also use a bucket of sand or rice and with all fingers pointed out strike the sand or rice a few times a day it will help get your skin a lil harder and speed up, be careful hitting something as hard as a tree, ive broken my right hand twice did you beat up a plant or tree? jk
