2007 Gsxr 600 exhaust

Before the flaming commences i posted on a similar thread and didnt get any reaction for about a week soooo......i've been wanting an exhaust for my bike definately a slip on mainly want it for sound and a little p/u. I've been looking heavily into the taylormade race/street baffled versions but i also heard a clip of a G&G exhaust that sounded good on you tube but have not heard anything bout them any input would be appreciated thanks-Q

The Akrapovic slip-on is not too expensive ($400ish) and you loose the massive cat in the process (you'll drop over 10lbs). The can is unobtrusive, and is available in Ti or carbon fiber.

Im not to big on the Akro's they sound alot like stock and i want a little deeper tone like the Twin Brothers just not as loud. I love the looks of the Akro in carbon it looks awesome just not the sound im after

SatoRacing makes a nifty 'lil GP style can... the actual exhaust is tucked inside the fairings, the outlet shoots out alongside the swingarm.

Take a look at an actual Suzuki GP bike and you'll see the similarities.

Sato also spends a lot of time and money on R&D. I don't know about the lil gixxers, but I know Sato makes a good quality product.

My 2 cents, go with the slip on, if you check the dyno charts you'll see there's not much difference between the two, especially for street riding.

Just putting a slip on that drops the 10lb cat would make a significant difference... plus on almost all the systems it saves at least $600...

Don't know much about the Taylor made other than they're loud.

FWIW, check the pics of the slip on mounted on the bike on the Akrapovic website.

if im not mistaken the taylormade's are a slip on.....i dont want a full system the only gains you make are at the higher rpm rang and you loose alot in the mid which street riders use the most...mainly im looking to improve the sound of the bike, poser i know, but a slip on is all i think i need for the time being

Yep, any good slip on will work well; Akra, Arrow, Leo Vince, Yosh.

They sound good, especially with the silencing cone out. (no biggie, it's a 20 second job to remove it)

If you'd like to hear mine, give me a heads up and I'll bring it up to the shop.
