i use 87 in everything, usually from a nicer gas station like shell or chevron (no walmart gas). i used to get premium, but stopped like a year ago. patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited said there was no point in getting higher than 87 at the manintenace class, so thats what i did lol. i ride a 650r.

oh yea i get my 87 from bevo's refinery

The reason I said something about this being an old thread is because these same misconceptions get rehashed over and over.
So here's a thought, read this thread. It explains the same things that some have posted in this thread and refutes some of the incorrect stuff people say about "Premium" gas.
Sure, I started it but others more knowledgeable than me added to it, and maybe it will help some to better understand.
