i think with todays crappy gas prices and crappy fuel, there all the same, imho like walmart, they get there gas from the same people that make other big name gas station fuel, walmart does not hae their own gas companie, have you ever seen the fule trucks that deliver to shell and chevr, there the same companies in alot of cases, the dealers dont necces, have to use the companies gas brand

well could be that higher octane is cleaning out your injectors and pistons, its suppose to burn hotter, make for better performance and keeps the engine clean, i always use supreme but if im ever low on cash ill use med or once in a blue moon ill use the lowest grade, but rarely

higher octane is harder to ignite. that is the ONLY difference....

you have some backwards and some wrong. Premium does not clean anything... it has no cleaners in it, regular doesn't either. the ONLY difference is octane. the higher the octane, the hotter it needs to be to ignite. you would need higher octane in higher compression engines to keep the heat from the piston from prematurely igniting the fuel, aka detonation. the lower octane gas will actually produce slightly more power due to it being able to fully combust due to the lower temps needed to ignite. if the motor knocks at all with one grade of gasoline, then the octane is too low and the knocking you hear is actually the detonation. use whatever grade you need just to keep it from knocking. i believe the busa's compression ratio is 11.0:1 and it recommends 87 octane in the owners manual. if you think octane helps so much, why not put in some premium then go buy octane booster and dump in to make it like 120 octane and tell me how it runs

hmm well i maybe wrong, well like octane boosters, whats the purpose of it? i remember in car and drivver they were talkng about using a higher octane atleast every other tank in cars to help keep your engine free of gunk, maybe i have it wrong
