Worked pretty good lol...

I intend to always stay in shape so that I can put the gloves on my son if he ever feels he needs/wants to disrespect me or his mother...

The kid does have a legitimate case because he was both verbally and physically assaulted by an individual who is duty ridden to protect him, not abuse or assault him. Your logic and sentiment on this matter is ridiculous, obtuse and severely misguided...

p.s.
if the paperwork wasn't worth the hassle then neither was the scolding. That's just a stupid attempt at justifying that which has no justification...

seriously, i dont wanna think what racer x will do if one of his sons is arrested

i bet he will ask the cops to keep him another year

Seems that you ignored the Cops over reaction in that. The citizens of baltimore are going to pay cause the cops parents didn't bother to raise him right either.

Seriously, the blame lies on botht he kid(s) and the cop, but out of the two... the cops actions are the greater 'wrong' as he should have the mental maturity and self-control that the 'kids' lack. Not to forget training and options the kid doesn't.

To start with, he should NEVER have touched the kid unless he or someone else was in danger, and once he touched him he should have arrested him. He should have stated what his issue with them was, given them their options and let it be.

This whole bs about disrespect is total . That cop acted like a total punk .

Thats exactly what he should have done. I was a rollerblader back in Middle/highschool. Did stunts, flips, roller hockey etc. We were told numerous times to stay off tennis courts, well thats the best place we had for hockey. They brought the cops. No we didn't get choked, body slammed, or anything. Officer calmly asked us to leave the courts, and that if we had a problem we could step into the back of his office (car) and go downtown. Had we given any , thats what would have happend. Point was made, we never came back.

The officer has the right to arrest anyone for breaking the law. He is not the judge. His name isn't Dredd therefore he has no right to inflict any kind of penalty on the kid short of arrest, or a citation. The physical side can't be used unless the person inflicts harm on him, or tries to prevent him from doing his duty. Sorry, but if I recall, an officer is sworn in to serve and protect the public, not be the ones to inflict harm on them. Its up to the judge to decide how to discipline them. While the kids needed an a$$ whooping, he CANT do it. Period.

The cop's job is to enforce the laws of the land, period. It is NOT to teach kids or the public a lesson, not to ensure that punk kids have or show respect to cops, adults, or anyone else. The police have extraordianary powers for the sole purpose of enforcing laws, and if these powers are used for anyting else it is an abuse of these powers.

well then the whole thing out there body slamming the kid was a waste of time too. Racer, sometimes you can't even do yourself any good. If it was a waste of time to arrest them, then it was a waste of time to have ANY altercations with them. By the way, not all cops are constantly put out there to investigate and locate murderers. If they did, we wouldn't have as many tickets.
