Neither you nor I can verifiably answer that question. But I bet I can make a stronger argument for my case given the evidence we have before us than can you with regard to the unjustifiable use of force perpetrated against the teen that day...here's a shot right back at ya: (based solely upon what we can see in the video) Was the teen assaulted?

ok then the evidence is lacking then......IM not siding either way other than the fact that i see this all the time on here. people argue a point over one article. However elegantly you want to state it, its still lacking substance is all.

Had the teen been warned what he was doing was against the cop's (on behalf of the city) orders?

I dont think a 250lb+ Cop needs to worry about an 95lb kid trying to get up. That's a little too much macho man mentality for you there

Sure the evidence is lacking. But then again, it usually is. How often do you see a cut n dry case whereby someone commits murder, assaults someone or otherwise breaks the law and the DA doesn't have to build a case to garner a conviction because of this mythical anamole that is "encompassing evidence"? You don't, most times evidence is fragmented and therefore putting together that which we "have" is what in fact culminates our case. I get the sense though that, we'll just have to agree to disagree...

haha, both people were in the wrong. The only one with any real reprocussions is the officer, since his job is at stake.

Idealy, this should have never happened, but I do believe that the cop shouldn't have been touching the boy unless he was going to cuff him and bring in.

Between yourself and I...yeah I would venture to guess you are right. I admittedly have a severe problem with authority figures but recognize the need that we as a people have for them. It really bothers me though when they step away from the role of leadership within a free society and attempt to translate it into a dictatorial role...

...the shyt that officer was doin' is reminiscent of the SS of the late 30's early 40's

cut dry never, but then again thats what investigations are for(collecting more than a news article and video). MH neither has the time not the resources to lead such an inestigation LOL

the bold is all im commenting on not the actual case at hand. I just see it alot on here and news sites that people post bias comments on. happy discussing.

i remember the first time i went to jail and slowly scratched my nose while being searched. i was promptly chokeslammed against the wall and strangled a bit while the pig and his *** buddies laughed.
and it's moments like that make me think this video is not very disturbing/surprising for most police.

yes, let me restate.

He shouldn't have had to tell the kids twice. He shouldn't have thrown the kid to the ground neither.

Cop made several mistakes: 1) yelling at the kids - yelling always gets EVERYONE agitated and 2) goading the kid by asking some of the questions he did.

Obviously the cop was having a bad day and took some of it out on the kids.

The boys should/could have just shut up and said "yes sir" and "no sir" and we wouldn't even be talking about this.
