Little did he know the kid had that sh*t on tape....kudos to the kids

my guess is that the paperwork involved is not worth the time or hassle.

if mommy and daddy woulda taught them to respect public property we wouldn't have these prob's.

now the family is gonna sue the city for the kids mental anguish and the citizens of baltimore are gonna pay cuz these parents needed to beat their kids more.

No the city is gonna pay for this cop stepping out of his RIGHTFUL extent of the law by placing his big a$$ hands on this kid, for a senseless infraction, versus a violent offense againt a peace officer!

DUDE, I was joking!

I am sure the kid needs to be tossed around some. When I used to BMX, and we were told to move, we did.

I do think this cop has been watching "The Shield" too much. He looks like Vick.

+1, which is why several cities have begun erecting skate parks to accomodate kids that do skate!

Do you really believe that? I was raised right...and even I had fun in places I wasn't suppose to be....this cop was out of line....period.

This is not a place to put blame on the parents...Did those kids riding in the park anyone else besides the cop off? I saw several people just walk by as the cop was reaming into them...probably scared he's go off on them too....

See that is racer x's problem he picked up drugs as a kid instead of a skateboard.

You know, I find it hysterical that you give the cop a pass when it is CLEAR as daylight that the cop was in the wrong. Whether or not the kids were told previously to leave the premises is circumstantial and based on the cops account of that days events which to this point would be mildly believable at best- I say this because I would venture to guess that his account of the incident as a whole would omit certain colorful events that took place in said incident. The kid does have a legitimate case because he was both verbally and physically assaulted by an individual who is duty ridden to protect him, not abuse or assault him. Your logic and sentiment on this matter is ridiculous, obtuse and severely misguided...

p.s.
if the paperwork wasn't worth the hassle then neither was the scolding. That's just a stupid attempt at justifying that which has no justification...

Just curious, (and I mean this honestly) How many kids do you have? Any teenagers?

I think the reason we have different opinions (Hotnanas and I vs. you) is because we are quite a bit younger than you, and have no children. We have grown up in different times, and I suspect you've had your fair share of dealing with 'their BS'.

I am really shaken by that officer's actions.. Who know what I would have done in that situation, however I was raised to respect elders

I agree. He was way out of line!! parents are not to be blamed on this situation! other people really didnt care about the kids skating there. I would understand if its a big bother and its a landmark area, but its a PARK!! last time I checked you can go over there and have a good time.

Seems that you ignored the Cops over reaction in that. The citizens of baltimore are going to pay cause the cops parents didn't bother to raise him right either.

Seriously, the blame lies on botht he kid(s) and the cop, but out of the two... the cops actions are the greater 'wrong' as he should have the mental maturity and self-control that the 'kids' lack. Not to forget training and options the kid doesn't.

I thought to be a skater you had to steal, do drugs, and what else. j/k.

This cop shouldn't have put his hands on the kid unless he was going to arrest him. I am fairly certain that he could have arrested the kid for a lot of different things (like destruction of property and Lord knows whatever else that could be created, maybe trespassing IDK).

The situation should have not happened in the first place, because he shouldn't have had to tell the kids twice.
