Jared, e-mail Tom or MacMan or Jeff or whomever...I'm sure they'll be glad to follow you with an instructor and wave the requirement....but, boohoo on not having a license....I really wish peeps would think of it like a lic. to operate a motorcycle vs. a PITA at the DMV.....it's a REQUIREMENT...not an option.

I did a trackday with LSTD and one of the other riders in the C group was a 14 year old girl on a Ninja 250. She has plenty of offroad experience but nothing on road or a motorcycle endorsement. Her Dad signed for her to ride. Maybe you could have your Dad sign off for you.:rof l:

Just kidding. I don't think it is as much a requirement as it is a recommendation to make sure you have the skills to make it around the track without hurting yourself.

Dont worry about it. I've never been asked or heard of anyone being asked if they had the endorsement

As per instructions on the web site, email Steve@lstd.com and explain the situation.

The new rule is not a suggestion, it's a requirement, but we realize that there are special circumstances and that not all of our competent riders will have the above required items. Having a racing license is also an acceptable means of "proof" of competency.

Based on the information you gave above, I would seriously doubt that Steve would have any problem what so ever with you out there At worst, we'll have someone follow you around, but given the information you have there, I'd doubt even that.

Additionally, this isn't something we just decided to do "out of the blue", it's something we've been thinking of implementing for some time. Be prepared to have those items verified at our track days. Best bet is to get with us ahead of time so that there are no surprises at the track... this is for YOUR safety.

I will reply to your e mail when I get home tonight.

The basic problem is customers "qualify" themselves when picking a riding group. We make every attempt to look at the persons history with LSTD or by asking them to have basic requirements. There are always exceptions allowed based on experience or other factors. I review these on a per case basis. Not everyone looks at our requirements section and we can't check everybody but a guideline is better than nothing.

I think this is a great to have basic requirements, there has been time ive been out with B group and seen some people that did not need to be in that group. +1 to this idea

If you have been riding since 2001, you should be fine.
First trackday though I would certainly sign up for C class with the school.
