They're professionally trained, yes i do know that. They have the knowledge of how to make their car a weapon, to a shield and the know about of using it as a deadly force.

But i'm concered with the vehicle itself not the driver (pig)*

You might want to specify which cop cars you're concerned over.

A lot of departments are dumping the Crown Vic Fords for Chebby Impalas. My Jeep is faster than those. On the other hand, some of the more well-off departments are buying Hemi'd Chargers. Those are smoking fast.

Re: Cop cars VS todays SS bikes

My understanding is that they are all overhauled with larger bore and the intake opened up some as well. It's also my understanding that the modifications were supposed to be not available to the average joe public :dontknow:

Re: Cop cars VS todays SS bikes

I think the HPD and these precint constables have the P71 package. (someone correct me if i'm wrong)

I was under the impression that these patrol cars have ls1 engines. (A v8 corvette engine) again someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Re: Cop cars VS todays SS bikes

The Caprice Classic Police packages (most) were, indeed, being equiped with LS1's. The CC's not being made anymore. The 4.6L in the Crown Vic's are a little hopped up and lighter.

Re: Cop cars VS todays SS bikes

He is practically chasing you on in a v8 powered sports car vs you on 4 cly 90 whp motor you're sitting on.

No wonder they feel they can catch you and give chase everytime.

Re: Cop cars VS todays SS bikes

they have 2005 ford crown vics. the only thing done to them is they come with the police package that is it.
Pct. 4 and S.O. also have chevy impalia's also they have v-6 front wheel drive and they are getting rid of the impalia's and going to all crown vics. I know this for a fact.

No matter how slow or fast the po-po's vehicles are... you WILL NOT outrun a radio.

Why chance running and going to jail? Just stop and get a ticket. :dontknow:
