Sucks about him going down and about the wife, but in my experience with Meaner and G-man's accident, she'll come around. It'll just take some time.

live and learn, point here is, he actually gets another chance, where a lot don't. Lets hope he uses it wisely.

depends on what mesh you buy, i would trust my Kevlar BMW mesh jacket over ANYTHING Icon has to offer, he really shouldn't have had any rash on his torso. but hey it'd looked cool BEFORE the crash.

hope dude learns a lesson.

First off, thank the maker the dude's alive and overall in good health.

Now to my observations ... I've seen after accident pictures of a Joe Rocket mesh jacket and it looks like it actually melted from the friction with the road, I asked about it and the guy replied that yeah the mesh did actually melt and he ended up with melted plastic(?) in his rash that needed to be removed. From that point on I was simply not going to ride unless it was with a leather jacket.

that is very true, alot of cheaper mesh jackets are made of plastic.

look into Kevlar, there are 2 makers BMW and 1 other 1 i can't remember the name (motoport i think), both are around $400.

you get what you pay for.
