I think there are more stupid threads then stupid items for sale.

I should'nt try to sell my lawn mower on here, but it's ok to create a thread "guess what! I sold my lawn mower today"

Just my opinion. I don't really care how many posts someone has or does'nt have. More interested in what they are selling and how much. Contributing a good deal on a bike or anything else with no posts is more then alot of people with thousands of posts

if you make that thread, thats ok, your not joining this board just to sale the lawnmower and then never come on again.

if you do make that thread it must be because you consider these people on this board friends and you are sharing the good news with them.

BTW: everybody, i sold one of my surround sound home theaters today, bought it new from wally word 2 years ok for $110, just sold it to a shop for $65, woot woot for me

Before I came here I had 3 or 4 thousand posts each on a couple of other bike forums. Just because I'm new here doesn't mean that I'm new to this stuff or dishonest. I think each post should be judged on its own merit, not the post count of the person making it.

its not about that, its about this being a board with real members, if you want to find random deals, go look on craigslist

I have read the thread, and I appreciate your concern for the other members of this forum. It's just that most of the people on this forum are adults and should be able to make their own decisions concerning what they buy or don't buy from the classified section. If you don't like the sale price of an item, make an offer. If you don't trust the individual, don't make an offer. If you don't like the add, move on to another thread. It's not worth getting worked up over.

More important than post count moderation (which I could care less how many posts people have to sell stuff), is moderating the bone-heads that complain about someone's asking prices.

If people have 1 or 1,000 posts, sell all you want. Just because it's posted there doesn't mean you have to buy it, and maybe someone who either doesn't post much or is brand new, will be selling something cool that someone wants.

there is no ned to mod the clasified section since the minimum post rule isnt being enforced. we (mods) have been discussing changing it back in forth for a while.

only thing we mod is people spamming or whoring topics.

Someone should definately mod it. I don't think they should change any rules of it, but they should be there when asshats like you come in to try and destroy 80% of the threads in there. +1 on the modding, but please choose someone with some intelligence.

I had an idea a few weeks back for the forsale section to split up the for sale section to motorcycle related and non motorcyle related.

Check out the thread and let me know what you think.
