As usual I disagree.
I don't think that the number of posts makes much difference. So what if a guy joins the board just to sell something?
Some of the people that do that will become interested and stay to join the community. Others will never be back after the sale.
But like has been beaten to death on this thread, it doesn't matter if they have been your friend since 3rd grade or you just met them, they still might screw you OR might not.

Yes, I saw it.
I don't think it matters tho'. Like I said you can know someone a long time and they still might screw you or a short time and treat you fair.
People just gotta be careful about how they do business.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate what you are offering to do, I just don't wanna miss the chance to buy something I need/want because someone else decided the seller hadn't posted enough times or good enough content to be deemed "OK" to sell stuff.
I can take care of myself. If I get shafted it's on me, I shoulda been more careful.

If you do become MOD I'm sure you will do a good job and be fair.

what im also saying is that it is a privilege to post on the board and to put stuff up for sale here. people that are just joining to sale are abusing this site by using it for other than what its purpose is. the purpose is to help one another, joke with one another, buy/sale/trade with one another. the purpose is not for someone to join under false pretenses to just sale a lawnmower, or a dog, or whatever, thats why they have craigslist and as stated earlier by somebody else either in this thread or the other, people are cruising craigslist all the time, if they see it on there and think its a good deal, they will post it up here.

i just think we should keep some things a privilege and posting in the for sale section is one of them.

and ty for the nod for mod

Gimp, nothing against you, but we already have mods to deal with things.

We HAD a rule, and it didnt work, this works out better for everyone in long run.

Buyer beware, plain and simple.

awesome man ... i wish you were right next to me so i can hand you a cookie you deservedly earned... you guys act like the for sale section is flooded with ads and spam that you have to wade through; especially the guys that post on the some of the for sale ads with their smart noob comments. if you noticed, there is only a handful of posts in that section a day. i browse that section everyday and i for one, wish there was even more stuff for sale on there.

Oh no!!! 30 posts that you will have to browse through.. What will you do now that you had to waste 5 minutes of your precious life going through 30 whole posts? Here’s a tip, only click on the one’s you’re interested in. This can cut down the time from 5 minutes to about oh, 10 seconds. It works for me and it can work for you too….

why dont you PM a mod and ask them instead of asking in a thread we obviously arent reading or interested in?

so no mod has chimed in, i will

i personnally agree, people w/ less then 50 post should be allowed to post a F/S item

we took a vote, and the 0 post policy won. so thats what we enforce.
