Post Does the rain affect you and your riding?

Being a new rider I was wondering how do you deal with the rain? Do you take the car? Put on the frog suit? Dry off when you get home? Wait?

How do you deal with slippery roads and droplets on the helmet glass?

I dont ride in the rain on purpose. If i do get caught out and it starts raining, it doesnt effect me other than getting drenched. Slow down and you will be fine

If I HAVE to ride in the rain I will. just put a change of clothes in your bag. If it is raining and I have a choice I usually choose not to. People are just too stupid as it is when it is dry they get infinetly worse when it raining.

take the car if it's raining when I leave. keep on going if it's raining while i'm riding, and hoping it isn't traffic so I don't have to sit in the rain.

if i know it's supposed to rain i won't take the scooter out. Sometimes it happens, i'm out and it starts raining.. I deff avoid freeways, take the easiest route straight home, drive slowly and give myself plenty of space between the car in front of me...

From June until September I only had the bike, but for some stupid reason I still had to go to work everyday. I got rained on a lot.

Rain doesn't bother me. Cold doesn't bother me. Now put 'em together.....

If you're just riding to get from point A to point B, then it's a toss-up. If it's raining when I am ready to leave for work I'll just take the truck because it's easy.

If I'm going for a "ride" or I'm on a multi-day trip, that's what the rain gear is for. Watch your footing at stops, adjust your speed for loss of traction, and just have fun with it. No need to mess up a perfectly good vacation just because Mother Nature gets in the way.
