Damnit, I'm still at the library. Shows like such have always interested me.

I've watched the same documentary over and over again. one especially about the latest development about the large hadron collider would be cool.

NO WAY! are you serious? that'd be like my dream job. That's got to be an extraordinary experience, i can hardly wait until the LHC goes into operation this spring...given things go as planned. I have especial interest on the detection of super symmetric particles for it could be a quantum leap for string theory.

yeah i am fortunate when it comes to my profession... if you are 20yo you should pursue this as your dream and one day it may turn into reality. If you go to college - major in physics, then go to graduate school and you will be one of the "foot soldiers" in the army of people searching for supersymmetry or the dark matter...

As for the LHC turn on - well it wont happen untill late summer in the best case scenario... It is always being delayed. And yes, it has a good chance of detecting the supersymmetry and perhaps other new physics phenomena.

Im a sophomore in college and plan to major in physics or math as a matter of fact. I then of course plan to go on to graduate school.
still, the likelihood of being able to participate on such a collosal project such as the LHC are slim.
I cannot say you are lucky to be part of something like this because im sure it took you a lot of hard work to get there... but you must be among the best scientist in the U.S.
hey, post some pictures of the LHC--so long as they allow you, it isn't are 51 after all-- once you get there. All people seem to do that in this forum.
